API 2.0

A trading platform independent functionality (API) in Speed4Trade CONNECT to provide order and offer data for one or more trading platforms as well as to process order data.

DSL

Domain Specific Language. Computer language specialized to a particular application domain.

Forward compatibility

Compatibility of an older version of the interface with a newer version.

Item

Synonym for article or product.

Job

A job represents a process. In the job configuration, a properties file is assigned to the process, which is then processed sequentially during execution.

Job-Options

The job options represent the central settings of the job. Depending on the type of job, different parameters can be configured and values can be mapped. The job-options are defined in the template's properties files.

Multi-Channel-Plugin

Part of the Speed4Trade CONNECT surface. This is where the configuration takes place, for example creating a subchannel (a particular trading platform), creating accounts, creating and managing categories, assigning price lists, managing text modules, managing trading platform-specific attributes, and etc.

Properties File

File that is used by a Job and processes individual steps sequentially and contains logic. This allows to call up files to transform data or define mappings for the job options.

Shop-Plugin

Optional shop module that extends or modifies the shop with a function. With this, for example, a connection to Speed4Trade CONNECT can also be realized, as the XML format corresponds exactly to that of the middleware.

Template

The template is the API 2.0 tool and can consist of several files. These are properties files, script files, extractor files and mapping files.

Trading Platform

Generic term used to summarize several types of technologies and platforms users can buy goods & services. A trading platform can be a marketplace, a product or price comparison site, or an online shop.

Transformation

Manipulate source data into a desired target format, such as cutting a job from an order list, changing the splitting of a CSV file or modifying a file in JSON format into XML.
